Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance:

 

Today we were lucky enough to have Josie from Dorset and Somerset Air ambulance join us to present an assembly all about the vital role of the air ambulance. The children learnt about what the air ambulance does, how often it goes out and how many people it helps a day, equipment they take on board, how much it costs to run and when the helicopter operates. She also talked about their future targets of ensuring the helicopter is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to purchase a second helicopter. Thank you so much to Josie for coming to visit us and educating the children on this crucial role within our community.
