Homework
At Hazelbury Bryan Primary School, we believe that homework reinforces learning in the classroom. It's purpose is not to challenge any further without the support of an adult.
Homework develops responsibility and independent learning. Research shows that homework also benefits knowledge, self-discipline, attitudes to learning and problem-solving skills.
Our homework will usually involve a piece or English, a Maths activity and spelling rehearsal. We also encourage regular times table practise and daily reading for short periods of time.
We use Google Classroom to publish homework, children should access Google Classroom and work on the platform, selecting 'Turn In' when complete.
Please see attached poster to support your access to Google classroom where homework will be avilable each Friday and expected in the following Thursday. If your child requires any support with their homework, they must speak to a member of staff before the time that it is due in. We are always here to help.
