In History we have been learning about the ancient Mayan civilisation. Using primary and secondary sources of evidence, we now know that the Mayans built houses and temples out of rock and stone. One temple has 365 steps so we wondered whether they had marked down each day for a year in order to create their own calendar. Aroha built her own temple for our Mayan display - it is amazing!

In Maths the children have been dividing using the “bus stop” method. Spooky U.F.O.s and aliens have been our topic in English. We have been studying official statements about strange sightings and are writing recounts of our own (pretend!) close encounters of the third kind.
