Eagles News 13 November
Monday afternoon saw our first Forest School lesson. The weather was kind to us for most of the time and the children really enjoyed playing nature detectives. They had to find a variety of items including leaves, fungi, thorns and insects. Hugging trees and spotting birds’ nests was a particular favourite whilst eating lemons got a mixed reaction!
After some revision work, the Maths topic this week was equivalent fractions. The class has been identifying features of instructions writing in English and are ready to write their own.
We are so proud of Mrs. Sedgbeer who spent multiple hours writing a very long grant application to Dorset Gardens Trust for the school’s gardening club. Not only did she secure nearly £400, we were the only school awarded a grant in Dorset this year! Expect to see new log seating, storage, greenhouse etc. any time now!
