Spring Term in Eagles
Date: 27th Mar 2026 @ 12:49pm
It has been a busy and active term in Eagles Class.
In the first half of the term, we enjoyed exploring volcanoes and earthquakes in Geography and brought this to life with a Coke and Mentos experiment. We also applied this learning in DT by creating earthquake-proof buildings. In Computing, we used Scratch to programme games, while in Music we enjoyed composing using the keyboards. In RE, we continued to explore Christianity, and in PSHE we learned about clothing in French as well as how our bodies grow and change. In PE, we developed our skills in netball and dance.
In the second half of the term, we moved on to our World War Two topic, including a fantastic trip to Nothe Fort, where we experienced life as evacuees. It has been a very active few weeks, with Bikeability helping us learn how to cycle safely and Scootability introducing skateboarding skills. In Science, we explored the circulatory system, starting with fun “blood smoothies” to understand the components of blood. In DT, we created steady hand games using circuits and enjoyed testing them with Hawks class. Fridays have also been full of energy with our Pound sessions.
We look forward to an exciting summer term!
