Owls Trip to Kingston Lacy

We have had an amazing (and mostly sunny!) day at Kingston Lacy. The children took their responsibility of representing the school very seriously and have been an absolute credit to you. Their listening was fantastic and they were sensible and considerate to members of the public.

The bus ride was obviously a very important and exciting part of the day! The children said it was bumpy and they loved being high up and seeing all the animals in the fields.

We enjoyed drinking our milk and eating our fruit in front of the house with a lovely view of cows busy chomping on the grass.

We then set off through the gardens and explored all the signs of autumn. We found so many different coloured trees and leaves. Some trees still had lots of leaves and some were nearly 'naked'! We found red, orange, yellow, green, brown and even pink and purple leaves!

We then enjoyed our picnic lunch at the play area, before having a wonderful explore on all the different equipment. It was great to see the children practicing their climbing and balancing skills in a different situation.

On our way back to the bus we saw a squirrel! The children were so quiet and crept up to get a closer look and not frighten it away. It had a very bushy tail and was hoping about in the grass. The children thought it was looking for nuts!
