Our Christmas week in Owls 11.12.23
Date: 23rd Dec 2023 @ 11:34pm
We hope you enjoyed our Nativity play. The children certainly had lots of fun performing it and were very proud to be on the stage. Well done Owls you were fantastic! Once again a big thank you to all of you for providing the children's fantastic costumes, we hope you enjoy these photos of them looking so twinkly and wriggly!!
Throughout this week, we have had a range of other Christmassy acitivities for the children to take part in, such as exploring the nativity scene, working Santa's workshop wrapping gifts, Christmas colouring, Making Christmas trees from playdough and decorating them with a range of resources, using tweezers to add coloured fluffy pompoms as lights to the string of ribbon, using the interactive whiteboard to design their own Christmas trees, using a magic looking glass to find the images underneath, making snowmen and so many more fun activities.
On Wednesday we had our Christmas party with Kestrels, we played a range of games such as finding the different Christmassy object, team games such as collect the different pictures as quickly as you can and build the puzzle as well as others and lots of dancing. We finished off with a little party snack. Lots of great fun! At lunchtime, it was our Christmas dinner. The children could sit wherever they liked with the rest of the school and their dinner was served to them by all the members of staff. Christmas music was played, crackers were pulled and jokes were told. The children and staff had a brilliant time.
Finally, we also went on a wonderful trip to the Pantomime in Weymouth to watch 'Snow White,' the children had a fantastic time and were mesmerised the whole way through. They were brilliantly behaved and a joy to take, they really were a credit to you. Thank you very much to the PTFA for supporting this, we couldn't have done it without their amazing support and time raising funds.
A fantastic start to school Owls, you've smashed your first term. Well done. Merry Christmas everyone. Have a wonderful break and see you all in the New Year 2024!
