Fun at school

Date: 23rd Mar 2022 @ 2:48pm

What a lovely couple of weeks we have had and the sun is shining making it even more beautiful in and around school.

Science week was fantastic, thank you to Mrs Gillibrand for organising events throughout the school to help the children engage with this year's theme of 'Growing'. A big thank you to Dr Parkyn for such a wonderful assembly about bees and developing all of our understanding about these beautiful animals. We are also extremely grateful to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers who fully funded our visit from the Science Dome. Every class had a wonderful time being totally enthused by Science all around us.

It has been lovely to open the field for lunchtime and sports due to the glorious weather. We are thoroughly enjoying taking part in sporting events with our pyramid of schools at last, so far we have entered tag rugby, orienteering, netball and football. As always, the children have been a credit to the school and their parents. Thank you to Miss Allen for organising such events as our PE lead.

Parents' open afternoons and evenings have been a great success and we have loved welcoming our families back into school after COVID.

We are now looking forward to bikeability for Eagles children on 4th April, Scootability for all classes (Years 1 to 6) and our summer term trips for each class.

As always, thank you for all of your support during difficult times. Together we, 'Have Courage, Grow Roots and Shine Bright'.

Kind regards Mrs Waring
