Bugfest

We were so lucky this week to have a visit from Nick at Bugfest. He has a wealth of knowledge and brought in a host of different bugs for the children to learn about. The children all enjoyed learning about a tarantula, an even bigger spider, the bird eating spider (which actually doesn't eat birds), various different stick insects, a cockroach, different beetles, a giant centipede, an African land snail, to name a few. The children even had the opportunity to hold some of these fascinating creatures, which they were very excited about. 

Thank you so much Nick for sharing your knowledge and your pets. It was a great way to end our topic of 'Minibeasts.'
